Ténéré

Die Ténéré ist eine Sandwüste in der südlichen Sahara und wird auch ,,Wüste der Wüsten” genannt. In der Sprache der Tuareg bedeutet das Wort Ténéré ,,Land da draußen” oder einfach nur ,,Wüste”.
The Ténéré desert is a sand desert in the Southern Sahara and is also called “desert of all deserts”. In the Tuareg language the word Ténéré means “land out there” or simply “desert”.
In Anlehnung an die Farben dieser Wüste habe ich ein weiteres Stück für Jenis Challenge gemacht. Die große, facettierte Mittelperle ist aus Calcit und in der Kette habe ich neben gelber Jade und Citrin Messing-, Glas- und Lampworkperlen verarbeitet. Die Schließe ist ebenfalls Messing und kommt von Hudson’s Bay.
Inspired by the colors of this desert I made another piece for Jeni’s challenge. The big faceted center bead ist calcite and I made the necklace of yellow jade, citrin, brass, glass and lampwork beads. The closure is an s-hook I bought from Hudson’s Bay.

Beautiful mix of beads and color. The mellow yellow and blue are very pleasing.

We have the problem that we gave the pictures to the BD crew, because they offered to make a gallery for us, after Jeni asked them. But after about three or four months still no gallery and so I decided to post my pieces on my blog. Jeni hosted another challenge with fall colors, but I didn’t get my package so far.
